Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer (Remote | LATAM)

We’re looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join a US-based product team building and maintaining business-critical internal applications. This is a long-term engagement for someone who’s comfortable operating with ownership, ambiguity, and high delivery standards.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain production Ruby on Rails applications

• Own features end-to-end, from requirements to deployment

• Collaborate closely with distributed engineering and product teams

• Participate in sprint planning, refinement, and continuous delivery

• Actively communicate progress, risks, and tradeoffs in a remote setup

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer

• Strong, hands-on Ruby on Rails experience in production environments (non-negotiable)

• Experience working on internal tools or high-impact business systems

• Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of assigned work

• Comfortable in fast-moving, agile teams with minimal hand-holding

• Strong English communication skills

Nice to have

• Frontend exposure with React and TypeScript

• Experience in data-heavy or operational systems

• Prior work with US-based teams and time-zone overlap

Work setup

• Fully remote

• Full time overlap with US East Coast hours

• Long-term contract engagement

• Ruby on Rails experience must be real and recent. Not “can learn Rails quickly”.
